Tim Examines Expletives

Tim wrote in his blog today a post which I wish I wrote. Thanks! Would usually make sense to just pop a comment into his blog, but this is something which I feel very strongly about (and want a permanent record of on my blog). So go read that article. I can’t put it any better.

That post reminds me of so many conversations I’ve had in the Student Press Room with various well-meaning, polite young ladies. I’m afraid for some people, the prevailing opinion is still, “It’s wrong because it’s wrong, because it’s just wrong.” Hard to change some people’s minds.

As Tim put it quite well in his library book example, I only use the strongest expletives with the closest of my friends. And that’s usually because I need, and want to express myself as honestly as possible to them.
