Miniature Earth

The Miniature Earth video have been around for a long time, though this is the first time I’ve ever seen it. Thanks to Thye Shin for the link. The homepage have a better quality flash video if that’s your preference.

The text in the video appears very familiar – I’m pretty sure someone ripped it out and emailed it around before. Love the images though. The Miniature Earth team appears to have made effort to update the data in the flash video. They also appear to have removed some of the more controversial data. An entry on urban legends site snopes criticizes some old numbers on Miniature Earth that no longer appears there. (The text at the front of the video also admonishes us to take it as the trend, not hard data).

Whatever it is, even if the data is not accurate to the second, I’m sure we get the general idea.
